Our Vision
Educational Research and Development Assistance (ERDA), founded by Fr Tritz, SJ in 1974, has been giving hope to Filipino children who want to complete their education. ERDA also provides support to their families from disadvantaged communities.
Fr. Tritz through ERDA wanted to given children (from disadvantaged communites) access to basic and quality education because this will them hope and change their life for the better.
ERDA has been facilitating educational assistance (school supplies, bags, uniform), Catch-up program (tutorials, workshops) and leadership and life skils training for the children for them to experience holistic education.
ERDA also encourages parents to form savings groups and participate in livelihood trainings for them to sustain the needs of their families especially their children.
MISSION
To improve the quality of life of marginalized Filipino children and youth through the implementation of education and support programs in partnership with their families, schools and communities.
GOALS
- To ensure children’s access to and completion of basic education.
- To enable families to support and maintain their children in school.
- To organize and develop functional children’s and parents’ associations to effectively manage and sustain their own projects/activities.
- To strengthen community support on child rights and issues.
- To establish creative engagement, partnership and networking for organizational viability and sustainability.
- To promote and enhance staff organizational commitment, professional competence and welfare toward the fulfillment of the mission of the foundation.
